Occupation Permits
The Occupation Permit (OP) is a combined work and residence permit issued by the Economic Development Board (EDB), valid for up to 10 years and renewable.
- Investor Permit: for non-citizens who are shareholders and directors in a Mauritius-incorporated company
- Professional Permit: for foreign nationals employed by a Mauritius-incorporated company
- Self-Employed Permit: for non-citizens operating a sole-trader service business registered in Mauritius
Residence and Permanent Residence Permits
- Retired Residence Permit (50+)
- Permanent Residence Permit (PRP): 20-year permit for qualifying individuals
- Residence Permit linked to qualifying property purchase (USD 375,000+)
- Dependent Permits for eligible family members
- Premium Visa for remote workers (up to 12 months)
